All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) offers Support to Omar-led Govt in Combating Terrorism

The All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC), a registered body working to strengthen grassroots-level democracy in Jammu and Kashmir, has announced its full support to the Omar Abdullah-led government in tackling terrorism in the Union Territory.
Anil Sharma, the president of the organisation, while interacting with media persons here said, “The major challenge before the UT government is terrorism, and AJKPC assures its fullest support to tackle it. We are with the government and police.”
He said other political issues of the AJKPC would be highlighted and presented before the government at a later stage. Sharma expressed shock over the recent gruesome terror attacks that killed half a dozen people and left many others injured. He demanded that the families of the deceased be provided adequate relief and ex-gratia.
Sharma further said that the AJKPC is hopeful the incumbent government of Omar Abdullah will do justice to all regions and sections of society, whether they voted for him and his party or not. He welcomed the statements made by Omar Abdullah and his cabinet colleagues regarding equal developmental opportunities for both the Kashmir and Jammu regions.
