PDP’s Waheed ur Rehman Parra has won the Pulwama Constituency, defeating National Conference (NC) candidate Mohammad Khalil Band by a margin of 8,148 votes.
Parra secured a total of 24,716 votes, while Band, who previously held the seat in 2002, 2008, and 2014, garnered 16,568 votes.
Independent candidate Dr. Talat Majid Alie, backed by Jamaat, placed third with 1,833 votes.
Expressing his gratitude to his supporters, Parra vowed to prioritise development and education in Pulwama constituency.
