Massive Fire Breaks Out at Hotel Azad in Srinagar’s Khayam Area

Officials said that they received information about the incident at around 9 am. They added that multiple fire units from Headquarters, Gawkadal, Babademb, and Rainawari fire stations were pressed into service to douse off the flames.
“The fire has been brought under control; however, the operation is yet to be concluded. It is a hotel building, but the name of the hotel is yet to be officially confirmed,” said an official.
According to reports, fire engulfed Hotel Azad in Khayam Chowk, Srinagar.
Officials said that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. They added that there have been no reports of any injury in the incident, and the extent of damage will be known once the operation concludes.
