Mirwaiz Foundation to Launch Annual Hijri Calendar Celebrating Islamic Calligraphy
The Mirwaiz Foundation, in collaboration with Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid, will launch its Annual Hijri Calendar for 1446-1447 AH (2025 CE) on Friday, January 10th, 2025, at the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar.The comprehensive calender includes Islamic months, daily prayer, and Zawal timings, making it an essential community resource.
A collectors item, the theme for this year- _The_ _Splendour of Islamic Calligraphy ,_ celebrates the art form’s historical evolution, its diversity and cross cultural influences.The calendar is a tribute to Arabic calligraphy, the medium of Quranic revelation, foregrounding the connect between spirituality and our cultural heritage.
Post launch the calendar will be available at Jama Masjid, Srinagar, Gulshan Books Residency Road and Sheikh Mohd Usman & Sons Gawkadal.(KNS)
