After 4 Weeks of Restrictions Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Deliver Friday Sermon at Jamia Masjid Today

The Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid has announced that the restrictions on Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Umar Farooq, which had been in place since September 2, have been lifted.

The authorities conveyed this decision today, allowing the Mirwaiz to resume his religious duties, they said.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is expected to deliver his first Friday sermon at the historic Jamia Masjid, Srinagar after four weeks.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq confirmed that he would indeed be allowed to address the congregation today at the Jamia Masjid.(KNS)
