Rohit Shetty Reflects on ‘Singham Again’ Shoot in Transformed Kashmir: A Tribute to ‘Naya Kashmir’

After completing the shoot of ‘Singham Again’ in Kashmir, Rohit Shetty reflects on his experience filming the action-packed movie amidst the backdrop of the region’s transformation following the abrogation of Article 370.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Shetty shares a captivating video showcasing snippets from the Kashmir shoot of ‘Singham Again’. The footage captures moments of interaction between Shetty, actor Ajay Devgn, locals, and police officials, portraying the vibrancy and hospitality of the region. Shetty extends gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his efforts in revitalizing Kashmir, dubbing it as “Naya Kashmir.”

The revocation of Article 370 by the Modi government in August 2019 marked a significant turning point for Jammu and Kashmir.

In the accompanying text of the video, Shetty reflects on the transformation, noting the shift from a once turbulent landscape marred by terrorism and unrest to the emergence of a rejuvenated Kashmir marked by happiness, youthfulness, tourism, and peace, embodying the spirit of the “New India.”

Expressing his gratitude in the caption, Shetty acknowledges the warmth and support received during the shoot, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Ministry.

Ajay Devgn also shares his appreciation in a special video, thanking the Kashmir film authority and locals for their cooperation and hospitality, expressing a desire to continue filming in the picturesque valley.

During their stay, Ajay and Rohit also meet with the jawans of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Jammu and Kashmir, acknowledging their dedication and service.

‘Singham Again’ boasts a stellar cast including Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh, continuing the legacy of the super-hit franchise. The film marks the third installment following the success of ‘Singham’ in 2011 and ‘Singham Returns’ in 2014.

Actor Jackie Shroff, who plays a pivotal role in the film, extends his gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir government for their steadfast support to the film industry professionals, highlighting the conducive environment for shooting movies and other projects in the region.
