Security Forces Recovered Large Cache of Arms in North Kashmir Forests

Security forces discovered a substantial arsenal hidden deep within the dense Kot Nala forests in the Wavura area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara, according to an official statement.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched by the army’s 160 TA and Kupwara police. The thorough search yielded a significant cache of weaponry, ammunition, and war-related equipment from a terrorist hideout.

The recovered items, described by the official, include four AK-Magazines, 1450 rounds of AK-ammunition, 190 rounds of sniper ammunition, two pistols with magazines, along with various other items such as ammunition pouches, binoculars, walkie-talkies, and a cigarette packet – all traced back to Pakistan.
