On Monday morning, officials reported the discovery of a person with a slit throat in Awura, Kupwara.
According to GNS, the deceased has been identified as Abdul Hamid Khan, the son of Gulla Khan, from Mir Muqam Awura. He was found inside his home, lying in a pool of blood with a slit throat.
A police official confirmed the incident to GNS and stated that they have taken cognizance of the situation and initiated an investigation.
