This morning, officials reported the discovery of a man’s body in the Jhelum River near the cement bridge in Srinagar’s Noorbagh area. Local residents spotted the body and promptly notified the police.
Authorities have retrieved the body and plan to transfer it to a hospital for medico-legal procedures. Police have initiated an investigation, and the identity of the deceased is still unknown.
