Altaf Bukhari Accuses NC and PDP of Facilitating Amit Shah’s Kashmir Visit and Fragmenting PAGD

Altaf Bukhari

Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari accused the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of facilitating Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent visit to Kashmir. He also held these parties responsible for the fragmentation of the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD).

Speaking to Kashmir News Service during a public meeting in Anantnag, Bukhari alleged that the NC and PDP had played a significant role in organizing Shah’s visit, thereby exposing themselves to the public.

“NC and PDP talk about the dignity of Jammu & Kashmir when they are out of power, but once they are in office, everything seems fine to them. I want to tell them that the chair won’t be returned to them immediately; only the dignity and respect for the youth will be,” Bukhari remarked.

He criticized the NC and PDP, calling them traditional political parties that have been thoroughly discredited. “If they believe people have forgotten their ‘milk & toffee’ remarks and their collaboration with the BJP in Jammu & Kashmir, they are mistaken. They are essentially the A and B teams of the BJP, and their time is up,” he declared. Bukhari maintained that the NC and PDP facilitated Amit Shah’s visit and played a key role in dismantling the PAGD, which was formed to fight for the restoration of Article 370.

“Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Kashmir was orchestrated by the NC and PDP. These political dynasties were tasked with breaking up the PAGD. If they deny it, I will provide evidence of the meetings where plans to undermine PAGD were made,” Bukhari asserted.
