MeT Forecasts Rain after April 10 and From April 11-12, partly to generally cloudy weather

The forecast for Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours indicates predominantly dry conditions, with a chance of light rain and snow in various areas by the evening of April 10. According to a meteorological department official, the weather is anticipated to remain generally dry until April 9. However, come April 10, the skies are expected to turn partly to generally cloudy, with the likelihood of light rain or snow in higher regions during the evening.

Moving forward to April 11-12, the forecast suggests a continuation of partly to generally cloudy conditions, with light rain or snow occurring in higher altitudes at a few locations. From April 13-15, the region is expected to experience generally cloudy weather, accompanied by light to moderate rain or snow in higher areas. Thunder, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds may also occur at some places during this period.

Looking ahead to April 16-17, the weather forecast indicates partly to generally cloudy skies, with light rain or snow possible in higher regions at a few spots.

Regarding temperatures, current readings reveal a minimum of 5.8°C in Srinagar, 2.6°C in Qazigund, 0.2°C in Pahalgam, 4.5°C in Kokernag, 3.6°C in Kupwara, 0.0°C in Gulmarg, 17.0°C in Jammu, 4.8°C in Banihal, 8.5°C in Batote, and 4.0°C in Bhaderwah.
