The National Conference (NC) made a significant announcement on Monday, revealing its choice for the Lok Sabha candidate for the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency. Former minister and legislator from Kangan, Mian Altaf, emerged as the selected candidate for this crucial position.
NC’s Vice President, Omar Abdullah, conveyed the decision, citing the party’s high confidence in Mian Altaf’s capabilities to represent the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency effectively. According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Omar Abdullah emphasized that the party’s leadership firmly believes that Mian Altaf is the most suitable candidate for this seat.
In his statement, Omar Abdullah reiterated the party’s unwavering decision to nominate Mian Altaf for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. This move underscores the National Conference’s strategic planning as it gears up for the electoral battle in the Anantnag-Rajouri constituency.
This announcement marks the commencement of NC’s preparations for the impending Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to kick off from April 19, spanning across seven phases nationwide.
