Chief Education Officer Hosts District-Level Dance Competition Promoting Cultural Fusion

Today, the office of the Chief Education Officer orchestrated a District Level Dance competition at SIKS GHSS Boys Udhampur. Chief Education Officer Geetu Bangotra graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by Deputy Chief Education Officer Kalpna Jasrotia, who held the position of guest of honor.

The competition kicked off with an invigorating speech by Geetu Bangotra, joined by DEPO Udhampur Chand Krishan Pandita and Renu Kotwal, Vice-Principal of SIKS HSS Boys Udhampur.

This event was a part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, aiming to foster cultural amalgamation between Jammu Kashmir UT and Tamilnadu State. Eleven secondary level schools participated, presenting captivating Tamil dance performances.

The judging panel, consisting of Sunita Tikoo, Amandeep Kaur, and Anuradha, meticulously assessed the performances. Supriya Sharma of GHSS Chak clinched the first position, with Gudia of GHSS Barta securing the second position, and Tania Choudhary of GHSS Battal-Ballian claiming the third spot.
