Apni Party Leaders Emphasize Democratic Empowerment and Condemn Political Exploitation of Tragic Incidents in J&K

Srinagar, December 31 (KNS): Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, President of Apni Party, addressed a public rally at Chichloora Kunzer in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg constituency, reaffirming the party’s commitment to the future well-being of Jammu and Kashmir’s people. During the rally, Bukhari urged citizens to value their votes and avoid falling prey to emotional sloganeering and false promises by traditional parties.

Bukhari highlighted the need for wise voting, emphasizing that Apni Party, distinct from conventional political families, represents the masses and aims to implement a pro-people agenda for lasting peace, prosperity, and equitable development in the region. He urged citizens to support the party to bring about positive change.

While acknowledging the Home Minister’s swift action following the recent tragedy in Poonch, Bukhari criticised traditional political leaders for attempting to gain political advantage from such unfortunate incidents. He called for an end to exploiting tragic events for political gains, holding the traditional parties responsible for past violence and emphasizing the urgent need for a change in the political landscape.

Ghulam Hassan Mir, the party’s senior vice president, called upon the central government to conduct assembly elections without further delay. Mir stressed the importance of elected representatives in addressing pressing issues, including unemployment and infrastructure deficits, and highlighted the citizens’ sense of disempowerment. He appealed to the Prime Minister to ensure J&K’s democratic rights by holding elections promptly.
