Rasikh Salam From Ashmuji Kulgam Bags ₹6 Crore in IPL Auction
Rasikh Salam, a 24-year-old cricketer from Ashmuji, Kulgam, has made headlines by securing a buyer in the IPL 2025 auction. He was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a whopping ₹6 crore, the highest bid for a player from Jammu and Kashmir.
A bowling all-rounder, Rasikh has previously represented Mumbai Indians (2019), Kolkata Knight Riders (2022), and Delhi Capitals (2024). His impressive performance in the Asia Cup, where he emerged as one of the most successful bowlers, added to his credentials and likely influenced the high bid.
Notably, Rasikh overcame a setback early in his career when he faced a two-year ban due to a date-of-birth tampering case.
