Infotel-2024 award function held at Tagore Hall Srinagar organized by Kashmir Tehalka News Group
People from a cross section of society, who worked with dedication and honesty in their respective domains were conferred Infotel-2024 awards in a grand award ceremony organized by Kashmir Tehalka News Group at Tagore Hall Srinagar.
Renowned radio and television artists, singers, civil administrators, teachers, healthcare professionals, doctors, social workers, sports persons, drug officials, and journalists from the Valley were honored with Infotel-2024 Awards for their dedication and significant contributions to society.
The event was presided over by MLA Pattan, Javid Riyaz Bedar (IPS), as the chief guest. MLA Kreeri Wagoora, Adv. Irfan Hafeez Lone, attended as the Guest of Honor, with Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Director of Horticulture, serving as the special guest. Tehsildar Lolab, Saqib Murtaza (KAS), was present as a special invitee.
On the occasion, Chief Guest Javid Riyaz Bedar emphasized the importance of hosting such events in Kashmir to celebrate our local talent.
“We should aim to expand the horizon of these awards to include South and Central Kashmir as well. It is essential that we recognize the contributions made in every field, as each sector plays a vital role in the overall development of our society,” he said.
MLA Pattan also highlighted the need for a collaborative effort to honor and support individuals who are dedicated to serving their communities across the entire region.
Earlier the event began with a welcome note from noted anchor Danish Abdullah Sherwani, who highlighted various topics with a focus on entrepreneurship. The award ceremony itself was anchored by the valley’s renowned writer, calligrapher, and broadcaster, Taseer Afzal.
A performance by Kashmir Rouf, led by Shugufta Parveen, captivated the audience, followed by musical performances from renowned singers Altaf Sahil and Rashida Akhter. Kashmir News Service (KNS) was the media partner for the Infotel-2024 Awards.

Talking to media, Editor-in-Chief of Kashmir Tehalka, Bureau Chief of KNS, and Manager of Infotel said that the primary aim of this award ceremony is to recognize and encourage dedicated individuals from various sectors of society, including officers, radio and television artists, doctors, sports persons, social workers, teachers, and media professionals, who have made significant contributions to the betterment of society in their respective fields.
He said these awards serve as a testament to the hard work and perseverance of individuals who often go unnoticed in their efforts to uplift the community. Each recipient has demonstrated exceptional dedication, inspiring others to strive for excellence in their own pursuits,” Bhat said.
He further said that recognizing these individuals is not just about celebrating their past achievements; it is about encouraging future contributions.
