This morning in Khan Sahib, Budgam, officials reported the successful neutralization of a leopard believed to have caused the tragic deaths of two young girls and injuring a boy.
The suspected leopard, responsible for attacks on two minor girls in Samsun and Hariwani back in March, met its end as police took decisive action in the Khan Sahib area.
Reacting to the urgency of the situation, Deputy Commissioner Akhsay Labroo sanctioned shoot-on-sight orders for the dangerous animal.
After relentless efforts spanning several days, authorities finally managed to eliminate the suspected leopard today, providing a much-needed sense of relief to the local community.
Meanwhile, the Wildlife department confirmed the permanent resolution of the man-eater leopard issue in Harivan Nallah in Budgam.
