DPAP Names Ghulam Mohammad Saroori as Candidate for Udhampur Parliamentary Seat

The Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), under the leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad, made a significant announcement on Wednesday, revealing Ghulam Mohammad Saroori as its chosen candidate for the Udhampur parliamentary seat. A spokesperson for DPAP conveyed the decision through a post on X, stating, “DPAP Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad has announced Vice Chairman DPAP, G.M. Saroori as the candidate for Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.” This move comes in response to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) prior declaration of Dr. Jitendra Singh as their candidate for the Udhampur seat, marking his third consecutive candidacy.
