LeT Terrorist Saifullah Killed in Sopore Encounter, Police Solve Zaloora Case

Police on Thursday said that it has solved the Zaloora, sopore encounter case with the elimination of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Saifullah, an “A” category foreign terrorist (FT), in an intelligence-based operation on March 17.
In handout the police said that post-operation investigations confirmed his involvement in the January 19, 2025, Zaloora encounter, in which a security forces personnel was martyred.
Saifullah had been active along the Handwara-Sopore axis, working to revive the LeT network. His elimination marks a major success in the fight against terrorism in North Kashmir, he said.
Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces remain committed to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of the region, reads the statement.(GNS)
