Two terrorists were killed during a joint security operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district, officials from the Army confirmed. The operation, named Operation KIYA, took place in the Jophar forest area of Basantgarh.
The operation was carried out by teams from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Officials said contact with the terrorists was made a day earlier, and security forces ensured they could not escape.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
After careful planning and a well-coordinated response, the two terrorists were neutralised. Army officials said the operation showed strong teamwork between different security agencies, along with high levels of skill and professionalism.
Although the operation has now ended successfully, the area is still being closely monitored to ensure safety.
In a post on X, the White Knight Corps said the mission was launched based on specific intelligence provided by Jammu and Kashmir Police. Troops from CIF Delta worked together with the police and CRPF to tighten the cordon and maintain control of the area, preventing any escape.
