15 Injured as Tata Sumo Overturns in Mendhar’s Chunnga Naka Area of Poonch
Fifteen people were injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle met with an accident in Mendhar area of Poonch district on Tuesday.
Officials told GNS that at around 5:40 PM, the accident took place at Chunnga Naka, Nabani Sheikh Mohalla when driver of TATA Sumo vehicle (JK12-2222) returning from Mendhar towards Chunnga lost control.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
All the injured were immediately evacuated and shifted to CHC Mendhar, where they are currently undergoing treatment, they said. BMO Mendhar Dr Ashfaq Choudhary confirmed to GNS injuries to 15 people.
The injured include Rizwana Kausar (9 years), D/o Iftikhar Khan; Farman Khan (7 years), S/o Iftikhar Khan; Faisal Khan (4 years), S/o Iftikhar Khan; Saleel Akhter (30 years), W/o Iftikhar Khan; Sabia Tarranum (19 years), D/o Javed Khan; Anayat Ullah Khan (30 years), S/o Said Ghafoor; Mohd Farooq (40 years), S/o Wazir Mohd; Mohd Abbas (45 years), S/o Quyoom Khan; Shazia Akhter (21 years), D/o Mohd Kramat; Nazmeen Kousar (15 years), D/o Mohd Rashid; Shazia Kousar (24 years), D/o Mohd Aslam; Naheem Kousar (28 years), W/o Anayat Ullah; Akbar Hussain (56 years), S/o Roshan Din; Ibrar Ali (16 years), S/o Mohd Rashid and Sajjid Ali Khan (12 years), S/o Abbas Khan, all residents of Chhungan.
All injured persons have been provided first aid treatment, and the medical staff at CHC Mendhar are monitoring their condition closely, officials said. (GNS)
