Fire Contained in Srinagar’s Hawal Area After Swift Response by Fire & Emergency Services
According to officials, a distress call received by F&ES Headquater Command Srinagar Received at 7:47pm reporting a fire incident in the Hawal area of Srinagar. Within a minute — at 7:48 PM — the first fire tender from Nowshahra was dispatched, swiftly followed by units from Rainawari and Soura.
The fire had broken out in two interconnected residential houses, with the third floor being the only part affected. Despite the shortage of water in the area, reinforcement from the Headquarters was promptly dispatched to strengthen firefighting operations on the ground.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services Dr. Mir Aqib Hussain, supported by Mobilizing Officer Aijaz Ahmad Shah, DFO Headquarters Muzaffar Hussain, and DFO City Muhammad Ayoub.
After the quick response and coordinated effort by Locals, and Concerned Police Station, The flames were contained before spreading further, preventing a potential large-scale tragedy.
Authorities later confirmed that the fire was brought under control, with minor injury to Fire Men has been reported.The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
