Tapan Kumar Deka Gets One-Year Extension as Intelligence Bureau Director
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved a one-year extension in service of Tapan Kumar Deka, IPS (HP:88), as Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
According to the order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, Deka’s term will now continue beyond June 30, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The extension has been granted under relaxation of the provisions of FR 56(d) and Rule 16(1A) of the All India Services (Death cum Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958.
