45 Kashmiri Students Safely Brought Home by Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar from Punjab Border

In a remarkable display of solidarity and humanitarian spirit, 45 Kashmiri students were safely transported to their homes with the support of the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (SADA). The students, who had been studying in various colleges across Punjab, were escorted from their institutions to the Jammu and Kashmir-Punjab border at Lakhanpur, where arrangements were made for their onward journey home.

The operation was carried out amid rising concerns for the safety of Kashmiri students following heightened tensions in the region. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, youth leaders from SADA took the initiative to personally accompany the students from their colleges to the Punjab border, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.

A heartwarming picture captured at Lakhanpur showed the group of students along with their escorts, symbolizing unity, care, and the strength of community support even during testing times.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar emphasized that their effort was purely humanitarian, aimed at ensuring that the young students could reunite with their families without facing any difficulty or fear. “These students are our children too. We must stand together in times of hardship, above all divisions,” said a SADA youth leader.

Parents and families of the students expressed deep gratitude towards the organizers for their timely intervention and support. Many parents, overwhelmed with emotion, stated that they had been extremely anxious about the safety of their children and were relieved to see them return home unharmed.

The students, too, spoke of their gratitude. “We were worried about how we would reach home safely. The way the Akali Dal leaders helped us gave us hope and strength. We are truly thankful,” said one of the returning students.
