Indian Army Downs Pakistani Drone Using DRDO’s Indigenous Anti-Drone System Near LoC

In a strong move to protect national security, the Indian Army successfully brought down a Pakistan Army drone near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jammu region. The drone, which was reportedly made in China, was trying to carry out surveillance when it was detected and destroyed by Indian forces.
According to defence sources, the drone was shot down by the Army Air Defence units in the 16 Corps area, which is located south of the Pir Panjal range in Jammu. The detection and takedown were made possible with the help of the Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System, a high-tech system developed in India by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
This advanced system can detect, jam, spoof, and bring down enemy drones in different situations. It is designed to protect key areas from drone threats. The system is also fitted with a 2-kilowatt laser beam that can strike and destroy drones from a range of 800 to 1,000 metres.
Sources confirmed that this system has already been deployed in large numbers along India’s borders. It is being actively used by the Indian Army and other security forces to prevent any drone-based threats.
This incident shows India’s growing strength in using home-made defence technology to secure its borders. It also sends a clear message about India’s readiness to stop any kind of cross-border surveillance or intrusion.
