Tragedy Strikes Shirhama Mawar: Four-Year-Old Loses Life in Leopard Attack

A wave of sorrow swept through Shirhama village in the Mawer area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after a four-year-old boy tragically lost his life in

Locals reported that the child was playing near his house when a leopard suddenly attacked, leaving him severely injured. Upon hearing his cries, family members and neighbours rushed to his aid. He was immediately taken to the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) in Qalamabad for treatment. Doctors there referred him to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, but sadly, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The victim has been identified as Mohammed Hasnain Teli, son of Nisar Ahmad Teli, a resident of Shirhama Mawer. Confirming the incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Qalamabad, Majid Khan, expressed his condolences over the tragic loss of the young boy.
