DynaMecX 3.0 Concludes Successfully at Islamic University of Science and Technology, Celebrating Innovation and Creativity

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) successfully organized its annual flagship event, DynaMecX 3.0, on November 27–28, 2024. The two-day fest brought together students, faculty, and dignitaries in a celebration of innovation, technical excellence, and creativity.
The event commenced with a vibrant inaugural ceremony, graced by the presence of Prof. A.H. Moon (Dean Academic Affairs) and Dr. Kaiser Giri (Dean, School of Engineering and Technology). Their insightful remarks set the tone for the event, emphasizing the importance of creativity and innovation in engineering. A symbolic tree plantation ceremony, underscoring the university’s commitment to sustainability, added a meaningful touch to the opening. A highlight of the inauguration was the unveiling of the DynaMecX 3.0 banner by a drone, a visually stunning moment that resonated with the audience and reflected the technical spirit of the event.

The first day witnessed a series of competitive and engaging events. CAD Mania provided a platform for participants to demonstrate their advanced design skills, while Technical Trivia tested their knowledge and problem-solving abilities. MechanINK Artwork showcased the artistic talents of students, producing compelling and creative pieces. The event Waste to Life stood out for its innovative theme, as participants transformed waste materials into useful creations.
On Day Two, the energy and enthusiasm continued with a range of thrilling activities. The Treasure Hunt kept participants on edge with a nail-biting final round, and Squid Game drew significant crowds with its unique format and engaging challenges. A light-hearted yet competitive Tug of War between students and faculty provided an additional highlight, fostering camaraderie and excitement.
The fest concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony, which marked the culmination of two days of hard work and celebration. The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Mr. Sameer Wazir (Finance Officer), Dr. Asifa Baba (Dean of Students), and Dr. Kaiser Giri (Dean, School of Engineering and Technology). Their encouraging words acknowledged the efforts of all participants and organizers in making the event a grand success.

The Best Event Award was presented to Waste to Life, coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Jebran Khan, for its creative execution and impactful message. The department also recognized the contributions of the distinguished judges, including Ms. Zoya Khan and Mr. Umar Farooq from the Department of Architecture, and Dr. Monisa Qadiri from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, for their valuable insights and support.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering expresses its sincere gratitude to all the dignitaries, judges, faculty, and staff who contributed to the success of DynaMecX 3.0.
