Fire Devastates Three Homes in Srinagar’s Danawari Area, Residents Safe

A devastating fire erupted late last night in the Danawari area of Chattabal, Srinagar, engulfing three residential homes and leaving residents in shock. Fortunately, all inhabitants of the affected houses managed to escape unharmed.

The properties damaged by the blaze belong to Abdul Rashid Bhat (son of Gh Ahmad Bhat), Nazir Ahmed Khan, and Abdul Rehman Shah (son of Gh Qadir Shah).

Fire and emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, with firefighters, local police, and community members collaborating to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring structures. Their prompt action played a crucial role in avoiding a potential disaster in the densely populated area.

Initial reports indicate that an electrical short circuit may have caused the fire. Local authorities are conducting further investigations to confirm the exact cause and ensure no lingering risks exist in the vicinity.

The incident comes at a time when harsh winter conditions are gripping Kashmir, leaving the affected families to cope with considerable material losses, compounded by the financial and emotional toll of the disaster.

This event underscores the urgent need for increased fire safety awareness and preparedness, particularly in crowded residential neighborhoods.
