Additional Director General (ADG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Jammu and Kashmir Zone, Rajesh Kumar, on Thursday lauded the immense talent potential among the youth of Kashmir and stated that the CRPF is committed to nurturing their potential.
Speaking at the sideline of a sports tournament organized by the CRPF here in Srinagar, Kumar highlighted the importance of such initiatives in shaping the future of the youth.
There is huge talent in Kashmir. The CRPF will continue to groom this young talent and provide them platforms to shine. We want them to reach the heights of national and international tournaments, like the IPL,” Kumar said as per news agency KINS.
He announced plans to expand the scope of the tournament in the coming years. “From next year, we will make this tournament even bigger. We will provide incentives and better kits to support the players,” he added.
Kumar also appealed to the youth to actively participate in these initiatives and contribute to positive societal change.
“We want these youngsters to not just continue excelling in sports but also stand with us in the fight against social evils like drug abuse. Together, we can work to end this menace.”
This year’s tournament, built on the success of last year’s edition, saw an overwhelming response from the youth. Kumar noted, “The participation was much higher this year, and the enthusiasm of the players was truly inspiring.”
The CRPF reiterated its promise to support the youth in building a brighter future. “We will continue these efforts to bring out the best in our young talents,” Kumar added.
