Anhad Public Library Inaugurated in Shartpalla,Tanghdar Karnah

Anhad Public Library was inaugurated today in Shartpalla, Tanghdar, Karnah, marking a significant milestone in advancing education and empowering the youth of the region.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering, with SDM Karnah, Zafar Ahmad Lone, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included ZEO Karnah Shah Mohammad, ZPEO Raja Mushtaq, Bar Association President Mehboob, Rt. Teacher and President of Pahari Cultural Club Rashid Lone, along with many prominent figures from Karnah. Over 50 students also participated, making the event even more memorable.

This newly inaugurated library is designed to serve as a crucial resource for the youth of Karnah, especially those preparing for competitive exams such as UPSC, JKAS, NEET, JEE (Mains and Advanced), NDA, and various other exams. Recognizing the challenges faced by students in this remote area, where access to educational resources requires traveling to Srinagar, the library provides a local space for academic growth, study, and exam preparation.

While having conversation with Kashmir News Service (KNS), SDM Karnah, Zafar Ahmad Lone, applauded the initiative and underscored the importance of such community-driven projects. He highlighted that these efforts play a pivotal role in empowering local youth and fostering societal progress. He also encouraged more initiatives that promote the welfare of the community.

To further support students, the library will offer dedicated rooms for those who live in distant areas, providing them with a comfortable place to stay overnight for uninterrupted study. The library will operate 24/7, ensuring that students have access to a conducive learning environment at all times.

In addition to its educational facilities, the library plans to host talks, workshops, and events to foster community engagement and promote a culture of lifelong learning.

Also present at the inauguration were Azad Naqshbandi, Trustee of Anhad, and volunteers Rouf Sheikh, Shahid, and Ishfaq.

Membership Registration for the library will begin tomorrow, November 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The library will officially open 24/7 starting December 1, 2024.

This initiative stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the youth of Karnah, providing them with better access to educational resources and contributing to their academic, professional, and personal growth.(KNS)
