The BJP unit in Kupwara, led by District President Javid Qureshi, organized a protest in Handwara on Friday in response to the recent Reasi terror attack. The protest saw a substantial turnout of local BJP members and residents, who marched from Qureshi’s residence to Main Chowk Handwara under heavy security.
During the protest, demonstrators held a symbolic funeral procession for Pakistani terrorists Hafiz Syed and Azhar Masood. The participants loudly condemned Pakistan’s involvement in sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir, chanting slogans like “Pakistan end sponsored terrorism in Kashmir” and “Pakistan ka matlab bomb, barood aur Ka.”
At the end of the procession, effigies of Hafiz Syed and Azhar Masood were burned. Speaking to the media, Javid Qureshi emphasized the severe impact of terrorism on the people of Kashmir, stating that residents have endured immense damage and loss due to ongoing terrorist activities and can no longer bear such hardships.
Qureshi called on the international community to isolate Pakistan, highlighting the significant loss of life and suffering in the Kashmir Valley due to Pakistan’s support for terrorism. He urged global powers to take a strong stand against Pakistan to curb the spread of terrorism in the region.
Additionally, Qureshi expressed a firm belief that India should take decisive action regarding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), asserting that it rightfully belongs to India. He expressed confidence in the Modi government, citing its history of achieving difficult tasks, and hoped that the current administration would take necessary steps to reclaim POK and end the terrorism that has plagued the region for so long.
