Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu & Kashmir, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, the Youth President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and candidate for the Srinagar-Pulwama parliamentary constituency, passionately rallied young voters to exercise their democratic rights for a better future in the Valley. Parra, accompanied by senior party leader Asiya Naqash, State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kosheen, District President Abdul Qayoom, and other party members, addressed the youth across various areas of Srinagar district.
In his statement, Parra emphasized the pivotal role of the youth in shaping their destiny and cautioned against the repercussions of abstaining from the electoral process. He stressed that boycotting the elections could exacerbate the challenges faced by Kashmiri youth, particularly in terms of unemployment and limited opportunities. Parra urged the youth to seize the opportunity to elect representatives who can effectively voice their aspirations in Parliament.
Highlighting the need for a supportive environment for Kashmiri youth, Parra advocated for creating avenues for skill development and ensuring transparency in recruitment processes. He reiterated the PDP’s commitment to engaging with the youth and addressing their concerns, with a focus on building a stronger and more inclusive Srinagar.
Parra concluded by assuring the electorate that if elected, the PDP would prioritize addressing the issues faced by the youth and work towards fostering a brighter future for all residents of Srinagar.
